43rd meeting of the European Commission on Agriculture

The Hungarian Women’s Union also presented itself at the 43rd session of the European Commission on Agriculture on the morning of September 27.

The accompanying event provided an excellent opportunity to present the work of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) in detail, as well as to discuss a number of important and thought-provoking issues affecting rural communities with members of the region, including civil society and the private sector. The theme of the side event was gender equality and rural women, with a focus on access to resources, knowledge, and innovation.

At the event, Margó Batthyány-Schmidt presented the joint project of the Hungarian Women’s Union and Corteva Agriscience, the TalentA Programme, which was launched for the second time this year to support rural women.
