About
Mónika's project – The Gidatitok: goat milk soap manufactory
The specialty of Gidatitok is that goat milk is used instead of water to produce soaps , thus reducing water consumption while increasing the value of the final product. The goats are fed with local green waste, thus reducing the landfill load and improving soil quality. The business is closely connected to the local ecosystem: hay from the banks of the Hernád River provides fodder, while also protecting the dam system.
The project has also had a significant economic and social impact: six people are currently employed in the village of 264, providing stable work, security and new goals for the community. The cooperation between the association and the manufactory has also stimulated new investments and a boost in tourism.
The Copa-Cogeca awards ceremony will take place in Brussels on December 3. We are proudly supporting her there.
